Admittedly, leadership comes easier if one is entailed the qualities such as determination, eloquence and strong personality. The question is, are these qualities only available from genetic heritage? From numerous examples we can conclude, no.
Scientists has revealed a role of both gene and environment in numerous cases of personality formation. Actually, the environment may account for a larger part than gene. Without those data endorsed by professionals, we know intuitively that a person is largely shaped by the environment. One could be a coward person if raised in a rough family with no one caring about, or could be a confident and outgoing one if his or her parents praised her a lot.
As for leadership, it takes some ability to convince and organize other people, and to make good decisions. All these abilities are not exclusively pertain to gene. If a person is willing to be a leader, he or she may trained him- or herself to be fluent in adressing issues, may learn some courses about group management, may get a full knowledge of the project the team is working on to become sharp in making judgement.
