It has been wildly acknowledged that teacher make a great effect in their students. They are playing a role of pilot leading students to learn both   academic knowledge and life experience. However, from my perspective, friends may have a huger influence on a person than teachers. The reasons are as follows.

To begin with, usually a student and his friends are in the same age. That means there is no generation gap between a student and his friends. They may share the same interests and hobbies, which provide them with numerous topics to discuss. One of my friends are enthusiasm about reading books, especially science fictions. He always talked about the exciting plots in gallery empire to me. Attracted by the content, I also began to read this book and was gradually fascinated by science fictions. We read the three-body problem together. The plot is so thought-provoking that we exchange our opinions from different perspectives. In this process, both of us make a great influence on the life values of each other.

Furthermore, friends are ideal listeners to a student. As for me, I can spend a whole day to communicate with my best friend. We have no secret between each other. He is also a wise advisor, who always give me suggestions when I troubled with problems. Laster semester, I was busy with practice piano for a winter concert, while it cost me plenty of time I should have spent in study. It’s my friends encouraging me to seize the performance opportunity and make full use of every piece of time to study. And finally, I got a satisfactory result both in the final exam and the concert.

To summarize, a student is able to share the same interest and talk about everything to his friend. Therefore, friends actually make a greater influence on a student.
