Do you agree or disagree with this statement: It is better to work in large companies than in small ones.

It is not a new phenomenon that people discuss is it better to work in large companies. Some claimed that even if working in small businesses one can still make great success. However, I think we’re supposed to challenge ourselves in big firm as long as it is possible.

To start with, large companies are more stable than others, having more abilities to go through unexpected troubles and dilemmas, which means that one can settle down in their jobs rather than be worried about losing the reliable and fundamental source of livelihood. While when it comes to small firms, even just a small mistake or crisis may cause disastrous consequences.

Another obvious benefit is that large companies mean having more outstanding staff. Working there will have greater opportunities to learn from them. When you are working in a group, it is convenient to observe and absorb colleagues’ logical thinking, acceptable criticism and positive attitude toward difficulties. On the other hand, communication skills could be able to improved.

Last but not the least, large companies may form a healthy competition atmosphere. Everyone is so splendid there that if someone isn’t hard-working enough, he or she will lose competitive power. In order to withdraw their own value, everyone has to work harder,making a virtuous circle. Some may concern that in such a stressful environment,one may lose his confidence and stimulation. As far as I’m concerned, they are instead the dilemma we need to go through, only in this way,one can finally succeed.
In sum, I am favour of it is better to work in large companies.
