Globalization fuels the trend of living in foreign countries where people have to speak languages differebt from their mother tongues. Despite some social problems and practical problems brought by it, it can improve people’s overall abilities in different regards.

Obviously, living in a foreign country that requires a foreign language may triger problems to some extent. This is bacause language is what people need to use in daily lives. Even the most basic tasks such as ordering food in a restaurant and purchasing goods in a market cannot be finished efficiently without knowing local languages, let along demanding tasks like working, stuying and making friends. In addition, not knowing the foreign languages may also do harm to people’s mental health, because they may suffer from feelings of despair and sense of failure when they find themselves unable to communicate with people aroung them in a new and strange environment.

Nevertheless, this problem is not inresistable and solving it can promote people’s comprehensive abilities. There are already numerous places, both online and offline, available for those who want to learn a new language. If they could make a maximum use of these learning resouces, it would easy for them to obtain the ability of speaking a new language. Furthermore, the process and the result of mastering a new language will not only clean social and practical blockades mentioned before, but also equip them with neccessary learning ability and make them more confident.

In conclusion, in spite of some potential problems triggered by not knowing language needed in a foreign country, people can initiatively learn the language, during which peoblems can be sovled and they can be upgraded in different respects as well.
