There is no denying that studying and teaching have always been an essential part of universities and colleges’ duties. However, as the requirements for students from the society have increased, some people support that the funds for sports and social activities should also been equal to those for classes and libraries. From my perspective, students’ life shouldn’t be limited in the classes and libraries, thus, I harbored the view that the budgets about sports and social activities should be devoted more.

First of all, sports and social activities can help people more energetic and confident to face potential challenges both physically and mentally. Campus is a position which many intelligent and creative youths flock together, but most of them compared with the adults in societies are more vulnerable and immature. Therefore, playing sports can provide a stadium that their extra fat can be get rid of and their muscles can  strengthen, and students can easily get a healthy body. At the same time, students can greatly enhance their cooperative abilities and easily be adapt in the society. It is also greatly significant for those students to ameliorate their communicational skills and perfect their logical thinking. Students will benefit for a lifetime from their ample daily experience.

However, quite a lot of universities and colleges have paid their attention on basic course teaching and laboratory facilities, yet neglected financial support for constructing the platform for sports and social activities. It’s quite common that students can easily find a seat in the library to read books, while it’s quite hard to find a gymnasium to build their bodies.These biased actions and unfair funds usually lead to some inconvenient aspects of students’ daily life and even block their way to be overall developed persons. That’s also against the purpose of education.

In conclusion, we can’t deny the importance of libraries and classes, while we can’t ignore sports and social activities’ great effects contributing to the growth of a person, either. They are worth focusing more and paying more.
