At the present time, the population of some countries includes a relatively large number of young adults, compared with the number of older people. Do the advantages of this situation outweigh the disadvantages?

Nowadays some countries have more young adults than older people. For currently most countries have faced with serious aging problem like China and Japan, I hold the view that this proportion of population bears relatively more advantages.

At first, a large number of young adults means there are more working forces available, alternatively, they can be employed to generate more economic profit in diverse fields, especially in labor-intensive industries. Instead of being stuck into the aging problem which always ends up as an economic slowdown, countries without that worry can mainly focus on development and spend more funds on public services like healthcare, education to make better collective well-being.

What’s more, Young adults featured as adventurous show more prospects to expand our human’s frontier. Because young adults always behave energetic as well as ambitious, they are more prone to experience new things rather than fear fails. For instance, in the development of science, thanks to numerous scientists who dared to explore the unknown fields, we come to know the world even the universe more clearly and exhaustively. That’s to say, young adults are likely to prompt the progress of society and create more possibilities.

On the other hand, there exists some potential menaces in the future to some extents. As this batch of young adults gets older, the problems of aging population come to manifest gradually. In addition, those who extremely intend to get a sense of achievement may lead to more conflicts, while the elder tend to be more mature.

Generally speaking, a fairly large number of young adults contributes to the society rather than destroys it. Although several potential problems may pose a threat to the country, they can be resolved rationally with appropriate means.
