Nowadays, people are living in an interactive[ wrong word ] society. Within [/During ]most events in our lives, we interact with others. (Taking classes in school)[ awkward writing ], (working in the company)[ repetitive ], and surfing on the Internet, [punctuation error ]etc. During these activities, we may quarrel with another person. But I insist it’s inappropriate to be rude to others in any situation.
Some people would argue that being rude to others can be justice if we have been treated impolitely. Imagine you post an idea on Facebook but receives several unfriendly replies, including personal attacks maybe. If revenge rudely, a positive feedback loop will form eventually. This loop can destroy normal social interactions and draw our attention away from the discussed idea itself.
Others may point out that being polite still does not assist in solving quarrels. Sure, arguments usually happen when people have different opinions, but they are not always negative. For example, the contention about an academic hypothesis may even promote advances in science. It would be easier for others to accept our intense but courteous query during the scientific debate.
We even should not disrespect others actively since rude behaviors may break the law. Recently, Chinese official social media have reported and mourned several martyrs. But an impolite person made funs of these respectful soldiers and even abused them. Such insulting behavior triggers intense waves of anger; finally, he got imprisoned due to the illegal activity. Thus, the fact that bad manners generate illegitimate indicates we should keep courteous.
Being polite is not only related to self-cultivation but also associated with public morality. If accepting rudeness, our society will be full of rage. For this reason, I think everyone should show politeness in any case. By comparison, I believe indecently fighting back to the rudeness could only be worse.
