The coming of Internet has already changed people’s working and living styles. More and more people consider about distant-learning which can help them get a degree at home. Although distant-learning is different from traditional college education, it has advantages in some aspects.

Compared to traditional education, distant-learning is more flexible which makes it possible for more people to receive education. Students need to read relevant materials and watch videos online. When they have some problems, they can click the pause button and replay the lesson until they understand the contents totally. These distant-learning lessons are open for every 24 seven days a week, so it is ideal for people who have a hectic life style as long as they can surf on the Internet.

The development of distant-learning also allows students to have chances to interact with tutors. Students can ask questions using interaction tools invirtual class and send emails. In this way, they can acquire guidance from tutors in order to complete all subjects better. Sometimes, students can even communicate with professors from world-famous universities, though they are in their own counties.

The main disadvantage of distant-learning is that students’ learning skills could not be improved, since there are no team-works. Students finish their homework independently, so it is hard for them to know other classmates. They do not have any chance to board the circles of friends which influences their career developments.

Distant-learning makes college education more common because of its flexibility. However, it also has some weakness, such as lacking for interaction, so it could not produce the same study effects as traditional college education.
