When commuting, the majority of individuals tend to look at their portable digital products like mobile phones and Kindles, reading the up-to-the-minute news from all parts of the world. Nowadays, it has been argued whether newspaper would become out-of-date or be replaced by the Internet in terms of providing news. I strongly believe that Internet would become the sole dominant source of information in the coming years.

The properties of the Internet may be a triggering factor for the increase of the number of people reading news through website. Internet containing a range of information and spreading news rapidly probably results in the ease with which readers can get whatever they want immediately, largely satisfying their requirements, compared with newspapers that provide one-sided comments on the latest news. Given this situation, there is an increasing number of people preferring to get the current news through the Internet rather than through the newspaper.

The nature of the newspaper is a potential catalyst for the number of people accessing the news reports through newspapers declining. That the newspapers possess the trait of easily being destroyed when people commute, is responsible for the tendency that a soaring number of individuals would likely to get current news through the website which has the properties of handy as well as portable, rather than newspapers. It is statistically evident that the proportion of citizens who read the news through digital products dramatically exceeded that of individuals reading newspaper in 2018 in the majority of the cities of China, with 70% and 30%, respectively.

In conclusion, I totally opt for the tendency that the Internet would become the potentially dominant source of information instead of newspaper due to the disadvantages of the newspaper as well as the heterogeneous functions of the Internet.
