Although more and more people read news on the internet, newspapers will remain the most important source of news. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Newspaper plays a vital role in people’s daily consumption, even though the multimedia gains the upper hand. In such a highly competitive Internet generation, the popularity of real papers fades out gradually. I believe both newspaper and e-paper has its own advantages.

With the development of technology, online reading becomes a mainstream nowadays. To begin with, it is of a great convenience to read news online. Nowadays, most of people use cell phones or laptop to check online news when they are not occupied. For instance, commuters are fond of playing smart phones while travelling by underground. Because they want to keep up date with what is happening and have faster access to news in real time. In addition, compared with the traditional paper, the main features of e-paper include free of charge and environmentally-friendly, enhancing them become welcomed type of reading.

On the other hand, conventional newspaper has profound influence on people. Firstly, traditional newspaper caters for the senior citizens. A majority of the elderly are not familiar with advanced technology which means they are likely to have difficulty utilizing e-products to read news. Secondly, newspaper gives a sense of warmth for readers because they are able to hold in hands. Unlike other ways of revealing news, printed papers provide thorough new report and more in-depth articles for audiences to read in full.

In conclusion, although the golden days of print papers no longer exist, the way of reading newspapers remains for some reasons. After all, both two ways of reading news have its own exclusive benefits.

Newspaper plays a vital role in people’s daily consumption, even though the multimedia gains the upper hand. In such a highly competitive Internet generation, the popularity of real papers fades out anyhow. I believe both newspaper and e-paper has its advantages.

With the development of technology, online reading becomes mainstream nowadays. To begin with, it is of great convenience to read news online. Nowadays, most of the people use cell phones or laptops to check online programs when they are not occupied. For instance, commuters are fond of playing smartphones while taking subway. Because they want to keep up with what is happening and have faster access to news in real-time. In addition, compared with the traditional paper, the main features of e-paper include free of charge and environmentally-friendly, enhancing them to become a welcomed type of reading.

On the other hand, a conventional newspaper has a profound influence on people. Firstly, traditional newspaper caters for the senior citizens. A majority of readership like the elderly who are not familiar with advanced technology. In this situation, they are likely to have difficulty utilizing e-products to read news. Secondly, newspaper gives a sense of warmth for readers because they are able to hold in hands. Unlike other ways of revealing news, printed papers provide elaborate news report and more in-depth articles for audiences to read in full.

As far as I’m concerned, although the golden days of printed papers no longer exist, the way of reading newspapers remains for some reason. After all, both two ways of reading news have own exclusive benefits.
