At the present time, the population of some countries includes a relatively large number of young adults, compared with the number of older people. Do the advantages of this situation outweigh the disadvantages?

Some countries have witnessed a situation that the number of young people is more than the elderly. From my point of view, virtues of an increasing youth outweigh its defects.

The youth as the main source of workforce will contribute extraordinarily to society development and economy growth. Compared with senior citizens, the young people possess more energy and are more likely to succeed in some hazard situations, like doctors and researchers who must have enough energy to tackle severe problems and expertise in academic study. In addition, active thinking will allow the youth to create new objects and perspectives , thus solving remaining  issues in various methods. They are willing to challenge difficult things and deal with them in unusual ways. The ability of young people to absorb information and complete work effectively , which the old do not have, has improved the pace of life and efficiency of life greatly .

Simultaneously, the elderly will need more health care costs, especially in the last years of life,  imposing a burden on taxpayers. Government have to pour more money on medical caring for the old rather than on other similar essential departments such as education and transport.

The elderly, however, with rich experience and wisdom are valuable to society. It is widely known that the elderly can guide younger generation and impart knowledge in academic fields. If we can make use of their expertise, a promising world can be anticipated.

In conclusion, despite the older people are essential to the world sustainable growth, the priority of more youth can not be replaced.
