Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? For any business to be successful, it must spend a lot of money on advertising.
With the advent of marketing, modern people begin to pay more attention on advertising. Especially, the businessmen feel that it is of considerable importance to advertise in business. Although it seems plausible to adopt the opinion, I still firmly believe that spending a lot of money on advertising is unnecessary.
Undeniably, the pervasiveness of the Internet makes people’s life convininet. They can learn about news not only domestic but also abroad immediately, and take a bus or subway, even though pay for their meals. Futhermore, the advertising pervades every aspect of people’s life. As a rsult, it’s commom for them to browse various advertisement on the Internet. Then, it becomes a better chioce for company to publicize their products and brand identity by making and pushing their advirtisement.
However, from my perspective, the quality of products is one of the crucial factors to determine whether a businessman can achieve success or not. That’s because qualilty is closely related to the reputation of the company. If the low-quality products are produced, it will have a bad influence on people’s health. So companies are obliged to launch out high-quality products. On the other hand, the quality won’t be guaranteed if too much money is invested in advertising, where the failure is inevitable even if the products have already obtained popularity.
Secondly, it also requires quantities of money to gurantee the treatment of cusomers, without which there is no way for firm to realize its success. The increase in expenditure in advertising comes with the decrease in consumers service, which lead to the low customer satisfaction and loyalty. What’s more, this measure will lose potential customers. For example, Haidilao, a corporation is popular with its service, is successful without more advertising.
To sum up, although advertising is widespread, it is concluded that product quality and after-sale service are more important for company to spend.
