History becomes a frequent topic in the newspapers and on TV which keeps reminding us of the importance to learn domestic and worldwide history. Many embrace that it is more significant to learn local history. Personally, I agree with that and confirm that people should always emphasize the influence of the local history.

To begin, learning history of the own country is beneficial to the mental health of individuals. People who learn the local histories are able to know that they share the common ancestors with others, which contributes to the acknowledgement of identify. Therefore, they will not feel alone and insecurity. More specifically, a great number of the migrated people, who learned Chinese history after they came back to china, found the warmth of the society and eventually kept way from the loneness mental problems.

In addition, the domestic history can raise the cognition for people to protect the countries. The history of how the country was set up can be envisioned as a good way to increase the nationalism and thus encourage local people to cherish their lives and protect their own countries, which strengthen the power of the government and country.
