The line chart indicates the popularity of the ways of film-watching between 1985 to 2005.
It is obvious that some methods of watching films became less popular while others gained popularity over this period of 20 years.
The trends for DVD and internet were similar, with both becoming more welcomed in this period. Stating both at 0% in 1990, these two ways then increased dramatically to 70% for DVD and almost 40% for internet in 2005. However, though 1985 to 2005 experienced some fluctuations in the number of people who preferred TV, this method of watching films remained more or less stable, being the most popular one at nearly 80% during the whole period.
The patterns were totally reversed when it comes to video and cinema, with both dropping in the 20 years. Beginning at approximately 80%, the number of people who chose to watch films by TV plunged to less than 20% in 2005. Meanwhile, cinema decreased steadily from just over 60% to under 40%.
