    Some people believe that the fittest and strongest individuals and teams always succeed in sports. Others think that success in sports depends on mental attitudes. 

    People have different views about whether success in sports decides by mental attitudes. Although being fittest and strongest helps individual and teams success in sports, I still argue that mental attitudes is the key to success in variety sports.

    There is no doubt that high quality of physical would help sportsman. Firstly, competition in sports would take a lot of energy, especially the winner who would confront with different opponents in short times that require winner own stronger body. Secondly, being fittest and strongest means the individual or teams are discipline in daily life, sportsman have to work hard in daily to keep strong muscle, and a lot of practice would make sportsman get familiar with the rule of sports and accumulated experience.

    It is important that keeping stable mood in the sports also, because winner not allowed too nervous  or too proud in the competition. Nobody would know the final results until the last seconds. In some of the sports, such as basketball, according to the action of opponents, excellent team have to made strategies quickly. The ability of adjust mood would help athletes to calm down and make strategies not only instant but also accurate. For a long term, positive attitudes would help athletes have faith in the competition, never give up.

    In my opinion, mental attitudes is the significant element to success in sports. Although the healthy and strong body would help athletes in sports but only with the assistance of mental attitudes could using muscle wisely and obtain the victory.
