Some people said the government should not spend money on building theaters and sports stadiums. Instead, it should spend more money on medical care and education. Do you agree or disagree?

Government in every country surely manage lots of domestic resources, such as currencies, materials, golds and so on. Therefore, they are responsible to allocate these crucial resources effectively. There is an argument about they should spend more whether on entertainment facilities or medical care and education. In my point of view, the latter is more important.

To begin with, governments should give top priority to investments on human basic needs, such as education and medical care. This is because all people need them. Further more, everyone must get illness in their lives,so they need a complicated medical system to promise efficient, low cost treatments.

Then ,governments should pay more attention to what people need rather than want. In this topic, theaters as well as sport stadiums are what people want, which may cause a heavy financial burden on governments. For example, we all want to host the Olympics Games to leave a wonderful impressions all over the world. However ,the sports stadiums built for if just used once, leading to a great loss. In this way,it is irrational to put investments primarily on the entertainment programs.

Finally ,those who habour the view that governments should spend more on building theaters and gym stadiums believe that it can promote citizens’ physical, emotional development. However ,if people can not accept good education and immediate medical care, their basic needs will not be satisfied. Will they have spare time to relax? The answer is of course they will not.

In a conclusion, governments have obligation to allocate resources they supervising. Moreover, they should meet human basic needs firstly, and then focus on other programs.
