In recent years, nations are paying more and more attention and money on sports. Which is a good sign, it reflects that we are attaching great importance on  physical health. But in my opinion, the money spent on athletics can’t exceed arts. Here are the reasons:

Firstly, pyhsical achievements have their limits. We can never run faster than leopards nor jump higher than tigers. On the other side, the mental fullfilments have no peak. Humans have been always chasing for the truth in the macro scale. And for individuals, we stick to our own principles when facing problems, and ajust them depending on the consequences. With great support, the efficiency of finding the most suitable theory will increase.

Moverover, arts are much more complicated. We can eaily count on several types such as paints, poems, fictions and music……Masterpieces in each area are highly valued and of course hard to create. It’s never too many to enjoy, so the demanding effort on it can be costly.

Last but not least, from an overall point of view. We need more arts than athletics to make the society a hamornious one. Everyone is not only influenced by rules but also the subconscious. And the most effective way to enrich and regulate people’s subconscious is by enjoying art. We can gain peace from Vincent’s paitings, and acquire knowlege from Bernard Shaw’s books. Art continuous plays an important role in shaping people, which can never be replaced.

All in all, the art is a crucial and costworthy part in the world. It’s of great significance for us to enjoy, study and enrich it. Compared to athletics, the development in art can give more impetus to the society and individual. So that’s why I think we should spent more money on this field.
