How the UK unemployed spend their time last year.

The following chart compares the different ways of spending time of unemployed English by two genders a year ago.

It is clear that most of English, who have no job, choose to do housework, shopping and hunt for jobs. Very little time is spent on drinking and playing sports.
In the morning, nearly half of the women choose to do housework, compared to 19% of men. Almost the same proportion of men and women go shopping, with 20% and 26% respectively. 22% of men hunt jobs, which is 8% higher than that of women. Meanwhile, only 1% to 2% of UK people spend time on drinking. Slightly more men play sports with 4%, which is 4 times the percentage of women.

In the afternoon however, the number of people choosing to do housework, go shopping and hunt for jobs decreased. But there are more English prefer visiting friends or relatives with 12% and 13% people respectively. What’s more, the people who watch TV, walk and do nothing are obviously more than that in the morning, with a growth proportion from 3 to 10.
