With the wide-spread of internet, there are an increasing number of people read everything online for free, rather than buying printed newspapers or books. I agree that there may be less people read newspaper or books in the future, but it is not completely correct that nobody will buy them because of free resources online.

First of all, due to the raising of patent-awareness, the number of writers and researchers attempting to protect their patents are experiencing a steady growth. These people may be reluctant to publish their composes or essays online for free, thus result in the decreasing of free resources on the internet. Meanwhile, the governments are likely to impose stricter regulations or laws on patents in order to maintain researchers’ enthusiasm in discovery and exploration.Taking the two aspects into consideration, there is a high possibility that people have to pay for resources online instead of using them randomly in the future.

In addition, resulted from lacking of supervision on the network environment, in most of the occasions, information online is massive and may be hard to confirm its reliability. Many social medias will exaggerate the facts and distort the truth deliberately, intending to raise pubic attentions. Therefore, it is difficult for normal people to acquire precise description of big events on the internet. To get closer to the truth, people will need to pay for newspapers or books, since after strict edition on each word, these reading materials are able to provide high-quality and reliable information.

It must be admitted that, reading online can be both money-saving and energy-saving in many cases because of numerous free resources on the internet. However, online-reading can not replace printed newspapers or books, due to the raising awareness of protecting patents as well as lacking of correction online.
