Sharing information will help scientists treat diseases. Immediate updating information prevents researchers from going through trials and errors. Scientists are able to stick to the right direction of curing diseases. To be more specific, a lot of countries have shared their researches about the coronavirus since the outbreak, therefore scientists can make progress on the basis of shared information. Experts expect to develop the vaccine in a year, thanks to exchanged medical information.

Nevertheless, information-sharing can lead to plagiarizing others’ achievements. It allows ill-intentioned corporations to take shared ideas for their own. If a company publicizes the key information of an application, competitors may take advantage of the information and develop similar application programs. As a result, plagiarizing undermines companies’ competitiveness. If the plagiarizing trend continues, fewer companies would like to innovate since it is easier to steal original ideas from other companies.

A lot of colleges have launched free courses online so that students can learn at home. Students from rural areas are empowered to learn as long as they want with free knowledge. Urban-rural divide imposes little impact on education and it is hopeful to bridge the educational gap in the near future.
