It is more important for governments to spend money to improve Internet access than to improve public transportation. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

It is hard to deny the significance of improving public transportation, and such a fact leads impression people to generate the opinion that the governors should spend more money on public transportation than to improve Internet access. However, such a statement suffers form both logical and factual fallacies, and it should be examined meticulously. As far as efficiency, economy and globalization are concerned, I strongly hold that larger investment should be applied to better Internet access.

First and foremost,  the improvement of Internet access is more efficient than public transportation in the realm of changing the society, since Internet generates greater long-term welfare for us. Meanwhile, in the long term, more positions, more ways to obtain further education and get more knowledge are available to everyone with a more efficient and convenient way — Internet, which enable people to improve our society. If we do not place enough weight on Internet, we will lack momentum in our future development.

Furthermore, the fact that internet promotes the fundamentals of economic growth indicates that the officials should allocate resources to education. Take China for instance, which has diverted a huge amount of fund to the construction of 5G. As a result, China not only created jobs for millions of citizens with the development of electronic commerce, but greatly stimulated its economy and improved the life quality of citizens in the long run, while the emphasis on public transportation may cause a big deficit.

Nevertheless, a voice arises that it is crucial to advance public transportation. Ironically, a plethora of proficiency and information can be approachable from Internet, which makes a positive impact on the progress of cultural diversity as well as globalization. Via Internet, social media networks facilitate communication with new friends and acquaintances regardless of the limitation of time and space. Therefore, improving Internet access should be regarded as the true solution to spur economy, which not only promote the communication between people, but lays out the future path for globalization.
