Living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious problems, as well as practical problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Living in a country where people have to speak a foreign language will lead to a series of problems, not only in social, but also in the practical aspect. I totally agree with the idea that it must cause a lot of difficulties.

On the one hand, people can not master a foreign language in a short time, so they will have difficulties in communication. Their tones maybe sounds strange, and it will be hard for them to express their emotion perfectly. What is more, a different language often result in difference in living environment. As we all know, people living in different background sometimes will feel hard to find good topic, it is another barren for making friends with other people. For example, just imagine a person who wants to get friendship, come in a club, but can not talk with people fluently, he or she must get disappointed.

On the other hand, as is known to us, a country where people speaks in different language is likely to have a diverse cultural, and tradition. As a result, people must have a long period to adapt to the local life style, such as the in the aspect of diet, sports, work-life balance, and so on. For example, there is huge difference in main food resource between Chinese and people in western countries. People in China used to have rice and pork, with some other vegetables, while western people prefer bread and milk.

In conclusion, I completely agree with the opinion that people have to face many challenges if they live in a country where they have to use a foreign language.
