It is argued that we are living in a throw-away society: people throw away what they use in daily life instead of recycling or reusing them. Why has this happened and how to address this issue?

In some people’s view, nowadays,we waste things everyday rather than using them for a long time. So i will analyze why does this condition happened and what should do to solve this problem in this essay.

What caused the social phenomena? For one reason, our consciousness of frugality is weaken gradually. We cannot deny that we are living in a rich resources society. It is more easier to get things than before especially on the internet. Thereby, some people think we don’t need frugality anymore. New things are coming and old things are threw-away. For another reason, with the society developed quickly, many things like electrical production and fashion styles are update quickly too. In order to catch the fashion trend, women buy a lot of new clothes. In order to enjoy new technology, men purchase new mobile phones as soon as they are released. Thus, lots of things were wasted but we were not realized.

Aim to the problem, i come up with two suggestion for society and ourselves. As consumers, we should improve our saving consciousness and try to be green people. For example, if our mobile phones are not broken we can sent them to our parents or grandparents. Whats more, if we prepare to throw out our outdated clothes, why not donating them to charity? In a word, try our best to recycling and reuse them.

As society, providing more education about thrift and rational consumption is better for us. For example, putting in more PSAs on TV and internet. In addition, our communities or schools can also organize some competitions about recycling. Anyway, our society have responsibility to teach us a good value.

Consumption value and rich resources are main reasons for people to waste. To solve this problem, we need to change together with our society and improve our thrift consciousness.

    Issues:

    1. About 15% of the sentences are passive. Convert them into their active counterparts.
    2. Poor use of pronouns (it, they, them., etc). Make sure only using a pronoun when there is only when it echoes clearly the noun in the prior part of the sentence or the prior sentence); i.e. ‘In some people’s view, nowadays, we waste things everyday rather than using them for a long time.’ There are People and Things, so readers don’t know which one you talk about. Replace the pronoun with a noun’
    3. Lots of grammatical errors.

In some people’s view, nowadays, people waste things lots of time rather than using them for a long time. Why does this condition happen and what should we do to solve this problem?

For one reason, many people’s consciousness of frugality is weakening gradually. We cannot deny that people are living in a prosperous society. It is easier to get things than before, especially on the internet. They can buy anything, provided they have money. It seems that our resources are infinite. Thereby, some people think they don’t need frugality anymore.  But they are not realized their ways of life will lead to energy consumption as well as pollution. For another reason, the updating productions indirectly promote them to waste. In order to catch the fashion trend, women buy more clothes. For enjoying the advanced technology, men purchase for new  mobile phones. Hence, people cannot use one thing for a long time. In addition, technological innovation reduce the cost of production and people can afford many things than before.

Aim to this problem, I come up with two advice for society and consumers. As government, providing more education about thrift and rational consumption is better for people. For example, trying to create more PSAs and  organize some recycling competitions to educate people saving things.  As consumers, they should improve their saving consciousness and attempt to be green people. For example, giving that outdated mobile phones to their parents or grandparents and donate clothes which are out of fashion to someone who need them. In a word, recycling and reusing everything as much as possible.

Material affluence and saving consciousness shortage are main reasons for people to waste. To address this problem, people need to take action together with three society and improve their thrift consciousness.

It is true that wasting things has being getting serious in today. There are a variety of possible reasons for this, but steps can definitely be taken to tackle the problem.

In my opinion, three main factors cause people cannot use things for a long time. Firstly, technology innovation and mass production have reduced the cost of production. Thus, people can afford more things than before. Men become accustomed to buy whatever they want, and they find it difficult to reuse old goods. Secondly, if people lose frugality consciousness, there must be an big problem with environment protection because they have not yet realized that their way of life will lead to energy consumption as well as environmental pollution. Finally, people are influenced by the over-hype of celebrities, many of whom give magical functions for something and set the example that success can be achieved like them with something they have.

Throw-away behavior can certainly be improved. I believe that the change must start with consumers. They need to improve their saving consciousness because it can change their way to use things. Also, environmental groups can teach people how to recycle disposable goods and appliance. As the same time, stars should guide the public to rational consumption and reuse old things instead of blindly paying.

In conclusion, society will continue to face discipline problems unless individuals, groups and public figures improve saving consciousness together.
