For example, a tornado is spreading in southern Asia right now making countries like Vietnam suffer a lot. It will likely move north to China and bring disaster for us. By paying attention to this news, we are capable of preparing for the upcoming extreme weather and reducing its effect/impact loss.

    Furthermore, it’s essential to acquire a grasp of news for social contact. To be more specific, workmates and classmates always talk about updating information during the break. If we fail to catch up with the latest trends and don’t update our information sources, we may have difficulties in maintaining bonds/relationships/contact with them. Thus, it’s essential for us to know about all kinds of events occurring around the world rather than the limited ones affecting us.

    Last but not least, caring about all types of events around the world can help us [to] cultivate a sense of responsibility. Nowadays, the megatrend is tending to increase globalization and break down the boundaries between countries and territories. It’s significantly harder to identify an event that has no impact on our daily lives. Only when we notice all the news around the world, can we refer to ourselves as responsible people paying attention to the future and the destiny of human beings.
