In recent years, an increasing amount of attention has been paid to issues related to subjects in school than ever before,some people believe that history is the most essential course in education, while others argue that nowadays some other subjects like Science and Technology plays a more significant role.In this essay. I will discuss both sides and elaborate my  own view.

On the one hand, history can improve people’s cultural identity.It is generally acknowledged that history is a recorder of a country’s culture. Therefore, the more people know about the history, the more recognition they will gain for their culture As a result,it can improve the cohesion of one country which is important to face some difficulties like cultural attack.

Far another, people need to learn Science and Technology to improve their living standards Science and Technology,which is the foundation of production.For example. without advanced agricultural technology like qualified fertilizer,people cannot produce enough food to eat. Thus, this kind of subjects can improve the productivity of human society,solving more practical problems in the meantime .Consequently, life level will be higher.

from my own perspective, different circumstances should be taken into consideration. lf the country or society people living in is undeveloped or developing , they need pay more attention to study Science and Technology, to make sure they can have enough basic products to live. By contrast , If they stay in a developed society which in high living level, they need history to face some deeper difficulties in mental and cultural aspect.,such as how to protect traditions and customers.
