Education is a crucial part for individuals to learn knowleges before entering into the society. Some people hold the view that teachers should develop the students the ability of critical thinking while others simply emphasize the importance of academic courses.In my view, the ability to judge what is wrong or right will be beneficial to students in the long term.
Firstly, simply mastering academic knowledges will not qualify an individual to adapt to the society. Individuals have to make decisions under complicated circumstances,which is far beyond the theroetical knowleges. A wong decision will not only bring about severe consequences to the companies they work for but also destroy their own careers.Thus, if they learn how to use the critical thinking to analyse the situation, such tragedies could be avoided.
Critical thinking can help the individuals to consider thoroughly when facing the conflicts of interests. Without proper education,people are more inclined to choose what is favorable to them while ignoring others’ interests,which may drive them to engage in corruption and even crimes.
