    The chart below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

     

    The chart compares one nation’s exports in different categories in terms of the value in 2015 and 2016. The table provides information for how the value of each type of export change in 2016 in contrast to 2015.

    Petroleum products created the most earning in both two years, moderately increasing by 3% until reaching around 63 million dollars. Engineered goods also experienced a growing trend in export value, rising from about 57 to 62 billion with a percentage change of 8.5%. A similar rising pattern could also be seen in the figure for textiles. The export earning of this category of goods witnessed a remarkable percentage change (15.24%), though still making the least value in 2016 among all products.

    Gems and jewellery was the only export that dropped in product earning, decreasing by 5,81% to just above 40 billion. At the same time, agricultural products remained a stable level in these two years, producing a value of about 32 billion.

    Overall, both petroleum and engineered products made huge earnings, and a similar increasing pattern is seen in the figures for those two types of goods from 2015 to 2016.
