    Task 1: The graph below shows the average number of people attending top-level football matches in three European countries from 1980 to 2004.  Summarise main points and make comparisons where relevant.

    The line chart indicates the paticipants of per top-level football match in Italy, England and Germany between 1980 and 2004. In general, England experienced a gradual decline while the remaining two countries rose steadily over the 24 years.
    Between 1980 and 1986, there was a minor increase in England participants, starting at 35 thousand, but that situation was totally reversed because after reaching the highest level at about 37 thousand, the attendance then gradually fell over the later 12 years, hitting the lowest level at 25 thousand.
    The trends for Italy and Germany were similar. The number of participants both started at around 2 thousand and then experienced a slight decrease, hitting the lowest in 1986. After that, the attendance both went up and surpassed that of England around 1998, with Italy hitting the highest of all the three countrie at around 35 thousand.
