The Internet revolution, international travel, and advertising expose people to cultures and customs from around the world. This is having a negative effect on social values.

Thanks to the means of modern transportation and communication, the world is getting smaller. The Internet revolution, international travel, and advertising present to people culture and customs from around the world. Some socialists believe that this has negative effects on our social values. In my opinion, I completely agree with this view.

First of all, the Internet revolution does provide us with more facilities, including searching for information and learning about big events across the world in no time etc. In the meantime, it brings us negative effects. In recent years, people have become more obsessed with foreign culture. University students can be found indulging themselves in merry-making to celebrate Christmas. Couples can be seen spending their romantic time on Valentine’s Day. All these pictures reveal a bleak reality that few people have keen enthusiasm for the traditional Chinese festivals, Dragon Boat Festival and Lantern Festival etc.

Secondly, international travel prompted more and more people to travel abroad. Traveling to Japan and South Korea was more popular among women. They called themselves Daigou, selling foreign products at a lower price. They used to send Moments in WeChat to publicize Japanese make-up like SK-II etc. In this scene, our domestic cosmetics, say, PERFECT DAIRY and CHANDO, are on the decline.

Thirdly, advertising hype foreign clothes brands, like Adidas, Nike and so on. And such materials are often endorsed by popular stars. Thus, lots of people purchase Adidas. And many young girls buy Brandy Melville, an Italian clothing band, which only sells clothes suitable for s size. Instead, fewer people are interested in the brand of ANTA.

In conclusion, I think that the Internet revolution, international travel and advertising have negative effects on our social values.

    Score: ungraded

    Issues:

    1. About 20% of the sentences are passive. Convert some of them into their active counterparts.
    2. Spelling errors
    3. Do not just restate the question, instead state your argument in the introduction

I will send you screenshots to illustrate specific problems/errors.
