Nowadays, with the deterioration of the environment, particular species of plants and animals become extinct. Whether to give priority to this is a controversial problem. In my opinion, though the situation is severe, it is better to pay attention to more important environmental problems.
To begin with, there are some much more serious problems to solve because some of them even pose a threat on our daily life and the global climate. For instance, the global warming results in the rise of sea level, some cities with low altitude may be overwhelmed and ruined, which can cause great economic loss and even take away our lives. The problems brought by global warming is much disasterious than that of the loss of some species and worth more concentration.

Furthermore, it is crucial to find the root cause to solve the problem. In fact, the extinction of many species is caused by the climate change. For example. the temperature of the habitat of some animals rises due to the global warming. After their migration, the animals cannot be accustomed to the new climate and gradually become extinct. We can improve the situation through solving other environmental problems.

This is not to say we do not have to deal with the extinction directly.Of course, some species of animals and plants are very precious, even playing an important role in the local food chain so their extinction will bring irreversible damage to the ecosystem. However, we can only cope with the course from human’s activity by banning hunting or by other measures, but we can not tackle the problems cause by the environment so it sometimes doesn’t work.
All in all, we can do a lot to save endangered species by legislation. However, the more important environment problems deserves more attention. Only by prioritising the problems properly can we do our best to improve our environment.
