• The upper picture show the Islip town centre now and the lower picture show how it will look after redevelopment.
• It is clear that the main road as well as the school and the park will remain largely unchanged. However the transport infrastructure will be considerably upgrade, most notably with the addition of the dual carriageway and a range of new buildings.
• Currently the town centre only consists of a main road with some shops on each side, and two paths access to the school and park. While the planed new centre will extend the shops in the north to the countryside area, which will transferred into bus station, shopping centre, car park, and a new housing. As for the south area of the main road, there is only one housing now, where a new housing will be added into it in the new centre.
• Besides, the main road will remain unchanged except that it will only for pedestrians. The two paths mentioned above will upgrade into a dual carriageway surrounding the new centre with only a single path in the north-east to the new housing.
