The money spent by governments on space programmes would be better spent on vital public services such as schools and hospitals. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is sometimes argued that government funds on  space exploration projects should be reallocated to essential public facilities. In my opinion, I completely disagree such proposals since space projects can do good to us and negative impacts may be imposed on our society with it countermanded.

There are a variety of blessings we may gain from space travel. Firstly, the progress of the society and the improvement of people’s well-being could be greatly encouraged because of the scientific and technological advancement resulting from oour deeper understanding of the outer space. For example, a great number of facilitating and advanced techniques and inventions come from our exproration of space , such as weather forecast, the invention of oven. Secondly, exploring space can help provide a theoretical basis for handling the shortage of natural rescources like water, natural gas on earth and even make preparation for future migration to another hospitable planet. Thirdly, Poeple’s lifestyles can be largely enriched by supporting the prosperous blossom of space tourism.

The disadvantages of abandoning entering space should not be negelated. Our country is likely to lose competition as compared to other nations owing to the fact that all walks of life can be influenced negatively by giving up such projects. On one hand,  society order and security could be affected adversely in the face of many potential risks and dangers from unknown space and the growing number of insane people believing in religion more than science.  On the other hand, there is little ppossibility for the extensive usageof GPS and other inventions , which are products of space exploration and facilitate people’s live greatly.

In conclusion, at a large cost as facilities and equipments for space exploration come, we should advocate investment in space.
