    The pie charts below show units of electricity production by fuel source in Australia and France in 1980 and 2000. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

    The total production in Australia increased significantly from 100 units to 270 units. Coal was the primary source, showed a big growth from 50 units to 130 units. The growth of Nuclear Power was more dramatically, rising more than eight-fold to 126 units, also took the main place in France. The Hydro Power in Australia and Oil in France both saw a slight rise, from 20 units to 36 units, and to 25 units relatively.

    Different trend was seen in Natural Gas, dropping to 2 units both in two countries. Likely, Oil and Hydro Power showed the same trend dropping to 2 units, in Australia and in France. As for the total production in France, doubled from 90 units to 180 units.

    Overall, Australia relied on Coal mainly, while France depended on Nuclear Power. These sources both shows upward trends. Natural Gas experienced steep decrease in both countries.
