n the reading, the writer talks about three reasons to prove that the silver coin which discovered at a Native American is historical fake used to mislead the public. The lecture in the listening, however, believes that none of the three reasons is persuasive and uses specific reasons and details to support her claim.

To begin with,  the reader passage states that the site which discover the silver coin is far from other other sites. In the listening, however, the professor argues that there are large number of other type of objects be found far away from other sites recroding a presence. So the long distance between two different sites is not only silver coin. Many people would like to travel for a long distance and remained the coin, which is also a persuasive hypothesis.

In addition, the writer points out that the place which find the silver coin is inhabited so that never would it could remain the money. On the contrary, the lecture disagrees with this idea by demonstrating the hypothesis that the Norse may return back to the Eroupe and left  it in their way home.

The last but not least, the reading passage mentions that it is impossible for native North American to know silver coins at that time. Yet the lecture finds this method indefensible because North American residents also would like to trade the beautiful goods. In other words, they just use the silver coin as the merchandise rather than currency. She gives out a example that native American always  found intresting and beautiful thing and trade to others.
