In the reading, the writer talks about three reasons that the old fossil structures of bee nests is made by modern bees rather than Did bees. The lecture in the listening, however, believes that none of the three reasons is persuasive and uses specific reasons and details to support her claim.

To begin with, the reading passage states that the earliest fossil of Did bees we have discovered is one hundred million years old, which means Did bees wasn’t active before that period. In the listening, however, the professor argues that none of earlier Did bees’ bodies remained doesn’t means they were not exist in earlier time. The preservation of their fossil structure depend on trees.However, in that period, threes were so rare so that never would they have enough medium to preserve.
