Universities should give the same amount of money to their students’ sports activities as they give to their university libraries.

Distributing funding is a significant thing in universities, since it is supposed to meet the satisfaction of every department. Some hold the opinion that universities should give the same amount of money to their students’ sports activities as they give to their university libraries. However, I disagree with this point of view and I firmly believe that it is not necessary for campus to spend the same amount of money on sports activities as libraries.

First of all, the corpus in the libraries are kinds of urge need that play a vital role in students’ daily study. It is the most important and indispensible purpose for students to learn new knowledge to go to campus, and it is the library that provide extra corpus for them during spare time. Liberal education and special education are both done thanks to the library. For example, when facing limited funding,a student who is going to take an exam the next day can acquire knowledge from books in the libraries and get credits, but gaining nothing if he or she do not going exercise that certain day.In this extent, it is reasonable to spend more money on the libraries. On the contrary, compared with the need to learn new things, the demand of doing exercise is not such significant. There is research shows that exercising three or four times a week is enough for an adult, which means students do not need to do sport as frequently as studying in the library.

Secondly, there are circumstances that students can get fund for sports activities from other ways, however, there are hardly alternative ways for students to get corpus they need without libraries. As it known to all, priority of professional literate and database are stenously protected that only provide for universities libraries and research institutions. The increasing funding on the sports activities means there is less money spent on the libraries for offering education resources, which probably leads to poor grade and decline in education standard.

However, when it come to the funding of sports activities, students can deal with this problem through varieties of ways including their family help and funding from the local interesting clubs.

Admittedly, spending on sports activities is also important since the topic of living a healthy life is getting more and more attention among students in the universities. Under a high level of pressure, students are expected to doing sports to improve their physical health and so keep away form diseases. Hence, it is necessary for universities to increase spending on sports activities in a proper way.

To sum up, although it is duty for campus to increase money spent on the sports activities, my viewpoint is that there is no way for universities to give the same amount of money to their students’ sports activities as they give to their university libraries.
