Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? When classmates or colleagues communicate about a project in person instead of by e-mail, they will produce better work for the project.

As a result of rapid technological development, the way people choose to exchange ideas on projects has changed. Some prefer to use e-mails to communicate with their partners about their projects for the sake of convenience. But for me, I would like to discuss projects with my classmates in person.

Sometimes we can not convey our opinions clearly to team members by e-mail when it comes to complex charts and configuration. And in that case, people are more likely to express their ideas explicitly and efficiently, face-to-face. For instance, the leader can just point at the picture and illustrate key points of problems. This is number one.

Number two, exchanging ideas by e-mail may lead to severe consequences, such as missing some important e-mails. Provided that a boss had something to deal with and left his computer for a while. However, at that time, his colleague sent to him a very significant file to get his permission on a lucrative project near deadline. So, the outcome should be obvious in that case. The boss missed that message and the company lost that project.

Admittedly, e-mails do provide us with convenience in terms of saving time and no need to move our ass. Nevertheless, e-mail fails to offer people a comprehensive demonstration of the whole task or the project. Therefore, different situations have different solutions. It depends on what you need. A more specific explanation or just make it a small talk about the sketch of a project.

In conclusion, although there is no single optimal option for everyone to choose, it would be better for people to talk to their partners about the project in person. If they want to improve the work efficiency and accuracy.
