More and more people are using computers and other electronic devices to access information. So, printing of books, magazines and newspapers should not be done. Do you agree or disagree with this?
Some people believe that traditional materials such as books, magazines , newspapers would not be needed as the advance of electronic devices today. In my opinion，despite the advantage of e-reading, printed materials still play a important role.
On the one hand. There are some benefits for people use electronic devices to access information. Firstly, a great deal of information can be indexed online for people to conveniently consult .
It is true that people can almost always find something that they need information on a computer efficiently. Secondly, using e-reading, such as e-book or online-news, is more environmentally-friendly comparing with printed books and newspapers. Because when people purchase a great many books and newspapers, it means that much more trees would be cut as raw materials for production. In addition, people read by phone or other portable devices at any time, which allow their to maximally utilize fragment of time.
On the other hand, even though electronic devices have many benefits for people, which does not mean that the printed material should be banned. The main reason is that there are a lot of people who don’t use advanced electronics such as old people and children. Their requirements should not be ignored. Another reason, the printed material can provide more reliable information than the online. Because it is always published after carefully reviewed several times, which avoid some mistakes in it. Finally, books also play critical role in our education system. It would be a bad situation in elementary school where students learn via e-book rather than printed books.
In conclusion, e-reading are used widely in people’s lives, while it can never replace printed books, magazines, newspapers. They will still remain an integral part of our education system and our lives.
