It is sometimes argued that the strategies to present advertisement are immoral and unacceptable for most people. In my opinion, I completely agree with this argument and I suppose that advertising should be more reasonable.

There are a range of unethical and unacceptable methods to advertise. Firstly, some adverts are showed in a so non-obvious way that we cannot notice being greatly by them. For example, many products and service are placed naturally in film. These kinds of adverts force us to see them and impress us profoundly. Secondly, some adverts aiming at children take advantage of children’s unmatured thoughts to stimulate their willingness to buy. As a result, children would put pressure on their parents to buy expensive but not necessary products. Finally, many companies often invite celebrities to endorse name-brand merchandises, which encourage people to associate name brand with high social status.

On the contrary, other kinds of adverts are presented in a more reasonable way. They show the advantages and disadvantages of products objectively and inform us of the abundant choices we have. Therefore, we can consume according to our demand and preference instead of being affected by them. For instance, adverts about clothes ought to let consumers know whether their products are suitable to all buyers with different skin colors and body types or not. It’s wrong to only show off the good aspects of products exaggeratedly. What’s more, public service adverts are also showed in an acceptable way.

In conclusion, many advertising agencies are using immoral and unreasonable methods to put adverts in front of our eyes.
