In such a highly connected society, every one of us needs to face all kinds of people every day. As the famous writer Luxun once stated,’ none of us is a lonely island’. Studying hard in school may arm us with more knowledge, but communication can connect us to a bigger world. Therefore, the latter one is more important for success in a future job.

First of all, the ability to relate well to people can provide us with many opportunities that studying can’t give us. Suppose that we are hard-workers while no one knows what our strengths are. Consequently, it will be difficult for us to get a promotion since managers prefer to choose someone that is adequate for the job for sure. On the other hand, we will have more opportunities if we communicate with the manager well and show him our aptitudes. As a result, talking to people well provides us with more opportunities for success than studying hard does.

Secondly, relating well to people can largely enhance our working efficiency when we are assigned some group work. Talking to others what our idea is makes it possible for others to find our problem. What’s more, after hearing others’ opinions, we can polish our plan or work better. It follows, then a better outcome and success in the job. Last month, I participated in a robot game. I was plagued by the operation of my robot’s motor for a long time. After searching in the library for a whole Saturday, I came home with no progress. Accidentally, I met my senior schoolmate who had done well in the robot game before. Only a twenty-minute discussion solve my puzzle. The importance of the ability to relate can’t be emphasized more in this case.

The good competence to talk to people also gives us a positive mind, which is also essential for a good job. Chatting with others helps us relieve the gloom in our minds sometimes. When we are down, working hard won’t refresh us. Instead, a great discussion can let others know about our problem and console us. They may talk a funny joke to us to cheer us. Finally, we will cheer up again and continue to work hard, which guarantee the work efficiency at the same time. So the ability to communicate with others is critical to success in a job.

In conclusion, the ability to relate well to people is more essential because it can provide us with many opportunities, give impetus to working efficiency, and keep us positive.

Swiftly developing of science and technology brings our life to a brand-new level, while people still value artists. As time goes by, art is always an eternal topic in our daily life. This essay will discuss which reasons contribute to that inclination, and explain the importance of art.

Initially, art is a crucial way to improve our life quality. The intention to develop science is to enrich our life, and so is art. Mohammed, the founder of Islam, once said, “if you have two pieces of bread, you need to exchange one of it for a narcissus.” Narcissus here stands for aesthetic and that indicates art is essential to our life quality. Various forms of art are conductive to improving aesthetic and adding variety to our life.

Additionally, the cultural industry is part and parcel of the national economy. The revenue of art will provide scientific research with more funds to some degrees. Recently a survey has shown that the cultural industry accounts for 10% of GDP in America, while that number is less than 3% in China. That partly shows the distance between two nations in the aspect of economy and science level.

With regard to the question of the importance of art compared with science and technology, they are definitely equal. What’s the core theme of the art? It’s the imagination. Art encourages people to think outside the box, and that gives rise to numerous works of fantastic novels, sculptures and so on. That brilliant imagination not only expands our horizons but also gives scientists new ideas to some extent.

In conclusion, art is more than valuable because it enriches our world and plays a vital role in the economy. Its being a stimulus to the imagination makes it as significant as the science and technology.
