During this information era, it is easy for people to acquire latest news thereby keeping pace with the changeable world. Celebrity news always occur on the headlines. People can find news concerning some philanthropic work. There’s a discussion about the influence of celebrities’ support towards international aid organizations.

Some people think celebrities’ assistance in international aid organizations helps attract the public’s attention. For one thing, well-known people, especially those in show business are the favorites of social media. The press is keen on publishing their news to capture people’s attention. If those who have impressive influence on society suddenly show their open support for international aid campaigns, social media will make extensive reports on their behaviors, so people and organizations can easily access the news while surfing the internet. For another, celebrities always have a large number of followers who pay close attention to their idols. They have a big union to back up the celebrity. To echo their idols, fans may raise money and supplies to help international aid organizations .

However, others cast doubt on the positive effects that celebrities can bring to international aid organizations. They believe famous people make these international issues less vital. On the one hand, attention will be paid to celebrities themselves instead of to the existing problems. Netizens only want to focus on some relaxing topics like celebrities’ looks and beautiful photos. These irrelevant things distract people from addressing core problems. On the other hand, some celebrities don’t care about charity or aid campaigns. Rather, they simply intend to expose themselves to the public and create a benevolent image. Consequently, they fail to draw people’s attention that could offer their helping hands to solve problems.

Personally, I agree that at some point, famous people’s aid to international organizations can draw more attention. Celebrities do have greater influence when it comes to social issues.

Nowadays, our city is larger and more exquisite than before due to industrialization and urbanization. However, this phenomenon leads to some social problems like the traffic jams, which take citizens more time in commuting. Some people think the optimal method is to build flats for commuters downtown as substitutes for parks and gardens. By contrast, others disagree. I can’t say that it’s the best way to reduce time spent on commuting.

It’s universally acknowledged that the rents of buildings near the city center are the highest. So, to maximize the profit and make full use of every square, the commercial hubs and office buildings are always situated in the central region. If workers live near the city center, they don’t need to travel a long way to the offices. They can even walk to get there. In addition, the transportation close to the center is more convenient. There are various kinds of vehicles such as underground trains, buses, shared bikes and so forth. Besides, their routes are multiple. Those who live near the center can change the means easily without waiting for a long time.

On the other hand, parks and gardens provide places for workers to relieve pressure and free their minds. All concrete skyscrapers without any stunning views make people feel stressed. What’s more, replacing parks and gardens is a heavy burden to the government.

Personally, I don’t think it’s the best way to replace open spaces downtown with apartments to save time in transit. We have several alternatives which are even better than the method. For instance, the government can invest more to improve public transport. Individuals can take the distance from office to home into consideration when it comes to house hunting.

On the other hand, in fact, some celebrities don’t care about charity or aid campaigns. They just want to be exposed to the public and create a benevolent image. Consequently, they can’t really catch people’s attention to give helping hands to solve the problems.

Personally, I agree that famous people’s aid to international organizations can draw more attention in some degrees. Anyway, they really have greater influence, which more or less draw attention to the issues.
