As our burgeoning education industry grows by leaps and bounds, educational institutions and parents are setting numerous rigid regulations for children to meet, aiming for equipping our next generation with competitive edges. Such a trend is devastating for its deprivation of youth’s creativity and independence. Thus, I strongly advocate that children should be given more time to do what interests them the most.

To begin with, creativity allows children to explore interests. It is universally acknowledged that creativity boosts the development of our society. However, our society is losing its creativity. For instance, attributable to the rigid exam-oriented education system, an avalanche of cookie-cutter graduates who rarely possess creativity warms into the job market. If our education system still turns a deaf ear to such an urgent issue, the development of our nation will reach to blind alley soon. Thus, giving children more time to explore is an excellent opportunity to cultivate their creativity.

Besides, parents allowing children to explore their interests helps them learn how to manage their own life. The earlier the parents allowing kids to make their own decision, the easier the children grow independently. My personal is a good example. When I was in primary school, my mother signed me up for painting club, school chess, and plentiful extra courses. Nevertheless, she never forgot to empty the whole Sunday afternoon so that I could manage my own time. I usually divided it into two parts – reading and playing games. Nourishing from the aforementioned experience, I grow the habit of determining my own schedule and learn to be independent.

Some people may argue that doing homework and participating in school-related activities make it possible for the youngsters to embrace the most promising future, but is not it too early for our kids to step on the perfectly right track and live a perfectly planned life?

In conclusion, it is wiser to leave our next generation with spare time to explore their interests. Because it can boost children’s creativity and help cultivate their independence. And those

Admittedly, people are inclined to spend more time on leisure nowadays. This fact may lead the public to generate the idea that we should work three days for long hour per week for leisure. Such a statement suffers from both logical and factual fallacies, and it should be scrutinized meticulously. In my viewpoint, I strongly maintain that we should still implement the existing working stipulation, as far as time flexibility, individual health, and work efficiency are concerned.

Working five days for shorter hour can provide individual a more flexible time schedule, since individual tend to play various social roles nowadays. Firstly, as for company personnel, shorter working time can guarantee the balance between their career and personal life. They don’t have to spend all of their precious time only on working index every day, if they work five days fo shorter hours. To be more specific, they have the time to accompany their family and spend time on enjoyment after work. Besides, when it comes to customer, working five days can offer them with more flexible choices of time when they require service. They don’t have to worry about running into a empty store or office for half of the week.

What’s more, working for shorter hours can contribute to individual health. People are very likely to be distressed with excessive work. Take my previous math teacher as a case, who is a well-known glutton for work. We can always run into him working engrossedly on various teaching task during class time, dinner time, even on holiday. As a result, his body smashed down one day. But after his retirement, he has time to release and recover, and hi is much healthier now.

Nevertheless, a voice arises that working longer hours per day can enhance our efficiency. Ironically, working longer per day can only contribute to the descend of productivity. Working for longer hours drains our limited energy, and we are very likely to end up working in vain. With shorter working hours per day, we can finish our work efficiently and stay fresh. So shorter working hours is undoubtedly a suitable choice given concern of the physical limitation of human being.

Although I agree that there may be a couple of advantages of working three days for longer hours, I feel that the disadvantages are more obvious. Taking into account of time flexibility, individual health, and efficiency, we may reach the conclusion that working five days for shorter hours is better than working three days for longer hours.

It is hard to deny that having longer vacation can provide us with more leisure time, and such a fact may lead impressionable people to generate the idea that we should work three days a week for long hours. In no means should we not take flexibility into consideration when it comes to working hour. Modern working stipulation demands flexibility, as individuals tend to enact various social roles nowadays. With shorter working hours per day, personnel can hold the balance of life more compatibly.
