Throughout history, politics is always a hot topic among citizens. In this regard, whether nowadays students make more contribution to politics events  than before has been debated for a long period of time. In my perspective, today’s teenagers probably have more interests in politics, especially considering the help of digital devices and the advancement of education.

First and foremost, owing to the development of technology, teenagers are much easier to acquire political information. This is because every word of politicians could be watched through a cellphone screen with no limitation of time and location. For example, I can recall the first use of cell phone in my lifetime, a huge number of notifications were sent to me downloaded apps. It is the first time when I receive politics news and I cultivated a habit to read news everyday after that day. Therefore, I firmly hold that these devices provide teenagers more access to political information .

In addition to the technological advancement, independent thinking ability and social responsibility taught by better education also contribute to their better performance in political issues. I can recall a friend from my high school days who used to talk a lot about social problems and country relationships at that time and he always pointed out his opinion in political class that even amazed the teachers sometimes. He once told me that it is every teenager’s duty to offer political advice and shoulder social responsibility. So, based on the arguments explored above, I’m of the opinion that politics has became a prevailing topic among today’s teenagers.

Admittedly, there are many entertainments on the internet, like countless comedy movies, funny videos and online games, attracting and distracting them. However, I will only entertain myself by these ways when I feel tired and just want to relax. In most cases, international news, national policies, and social problems are the first priority. Hence, I believe that discussing politic issues are more popular among today’s students.
