Modern people have been holding different attitudes on economic growth. Some of them support it because they say it is the only way to end poverty and hunger. While others oppose that view for the damage to the environment caused by economic growth. As I’m concerned, I partly agree with these views.

In the first place, the steady economic growth can promote the development of various industries. Thus, the government can provide more job opportunities to the citizens. With these job opportunities, people can make money to afford their living expenses to escape from poverty and hunger. Besides the profits produced by factories, governments also can provide more funding to children who come from disadvantaged regions. Then the children may be useful to society. Therefore, economic can not only end poverty and hunger but also generate good cycle between the different class in society.

From another point, technology advancements may help humans to increase economy environmentally. For example, industries can make profits in more environmental ways, such as machines which can purify industrial water. Thus, we humans can achieve high profits without damage to our environment.

Indeed, economic growth may lead to non-inverted damage to our environment. For instance, some countries had paid a massive price on the exploitation of nonrenewable resources. This kind of behaviours may lead to natural pollution and resources waste, which will cause enormous damage to our earth. However, the unemployment rate may rise and cause many social problems if we stop the growth of the economy.

To sum up,  we should not terminate economic growth, although it may damage our environment.

Some people suggest that only economic growth can end poverty and hunger in the world, because it can make humans become rich. While others hold the opposite view —-they think the environmental damage may be caused by the increasing economy. In my opinion,I partly agree with these views.

Firstly, various industries can be improved if there is a steady economic growth in the state. Thus, people are able to obtain more job opportunities and escape from poverty and hunger with their salaries. For example, economic growth can help people from disadvantaged region develop tourism, and the moneyconsumed from touristsmay afford their living expenses. Therefore, economic growth can improve living qualities of poor people effectively.

From another point, economy in one state can be increased through more environmental methods. With steady economy growth, many scientists and universities can get more funding from the government to develop environmental facilities, such as machines to purify the industrial water. Thus, the relationship between economic growth and environment protection can be balanced well through the technology advancement.

Indeed, there are several countries had paid huge price on economic growth and generated non-inverted effect on the environment. For example, some countries exploit huge amount of various mineral resources to develop industry for the purpose of high economic growth. This kind of behaviors had led to the enormous damage to the earth because many of the mines can not be regenerated.

To sum up, the economic growth can end the poverty and famine in some region of the world, but it is not the only method. And besides, we humans should not stop the growth of economy either, because it may cause high unemployed rate and many social problems.
