Whether we should give children chances to make their own decisions has been under heated discussion. Some people insist that children who make choices on daily matter would beome selfish. Others argue that it is vital for children to make decisions that matter to them. Generally, I believe that parents should be active in guding students while children take the initiative to make decisions.

Selecting over a wide range of clothes and foods could be time-consuming and troublesome for young children, because they haven’t developed their own preferences or because they are confused about which one is appropriate. Children could spare less attention to their surroudings such as their parents’ feeling.  As a result, children may get used to caring more about thier daily stuff.

It is easy to notice that some teenagers commited a crime at a young age. It is imaginable that their parents failed to lead them to the right track. In order to make money quickly and to provide for their families, these teenagers decided to break into others’ houses. But in fact, these choices did no benefits to their families but brought a stain to their lives.

I believe that a good leader matters to children as children tend to make a decision on impulse. However, parents usually react more appropriately upon making a decision by drawing past experience. They could help correct children’s mistakes. So parents should act as mentors while allowing students to make decisions.

To conclude, necessary guidances of parents count for children to get on the right trak.
