Some people hold the view that students from high schools should not take art classes in a compulsive way. But I believe that art subjects play a crucial role during their high school.

There are a range of reasons why some people consider art subjects as dispensable ones. First of all, art subjects may obstruct students’ s study of core subjects. Because students have to spend energy working on those art subjects, while the core subjects have produced heavy work. Besides, it is a waste of time for those who are not interested in them. Moreover, some schools are unable to offer an abundant number of qualified art teachers owing to financial limits, thus students are unlikely to receive sufficient art education.

However, I believe art subjects can benefit students in various aspects. Taking art classes can be a great refresher for students, who have been under the pressure of core subjects for an extensive amount of time. Because art classes do not require Intelligence or an immense number of writing work. Also, students availing themselves of the artistic skills are more likely to be more competitive in their career path. Furthermore, students can express their negative emotions through drawing in art classes. If students are able to access art subjects, they can obtain benefits both In physical and psychological aspects.

In conclusion, art subjects may influence students’ s academic performances in an undesirable way, but I believe that these subjects possess an enormous amount of indispensability in benefiting students.
