Currently, the rationality over specifying all required courses and canceling elective courses lies with the analysis on the case by case basis and maintain this statement is discredited by the intrinsic unilateral inclination.

Initially, I have to concede that some freshmen who have no social experience would prefer to stick to the direction and instruction of their mentors or parents. However, it fails to consider the dynamic process of individual development. Once they learn how to socialize and how to live independently, the college students can make decisions by their own. Therefore, the reason nullify the importance of individual improvement.

In addition, the reason shows no respect to the differentials of personalities and values in college students. The students varying the personalities and interests will behave differently. Some will decide everything in life since they enter the gate of primary school that they can choose their schools, their majors and their friends. For example, Charles Dickens, who is one of the greatest novelists in the world, decided to quit the school and pursue his dream for writing. The success of his career consolidate my opinion that students can decide their own paths to promising future by their own.

Moreover, the variation in scopes for study and analysis also serve significant factor that bear the possibility of driving the results to diversified paths. Study serves for delight, for ornament, for ability. The responsibility of colleges is to offer constructive guidence rather than constrain the improvement of students. The educational organizations are supposed to grant liberation and freedom for students to explore and to discover their interested field but not to limit their choice. To be more specific, the colleges need to give students chance to find their real beloved realm when they are young. Once they enter the society, they are less likely can afford wrong of choosing wrong career. Therefore, the universities need to offer both required and elective courses which invole diversified majors and subjects to help them figure out their true beloved field.

In sum, the intrinsic unilateral inclination degrades the assumption vunerable to question and challenge. The reason and the claim both lack reasonability and reliability to stand. Moreover, the case to case study is imperative to toss the light on the big picture.
