    Fatigue Damage Behavior of Asphalt Mixture Based on Adhesion of Asphalt-Aggregate Interface and Cohesion of Mortar (Fund Number: NSFC 51678251, PI: Prof. Jiangmiao Yu)

    • Analyze microstructural damage properties of asphalt mixture by capturing the internal microstructure using the FEM and X-ray CT.
    • Measure the true micro adhesion between asphalt and mineral aggregate by using AFM with self-developed mineral probes.

    Preferential Absorption of Swelling Rubber and Its Particle Effect on Mechanical Properties of Asphalt Mortar (Fund Number: NSFC 51808228, PI: Dr. Huayang Yu)

    • Systemically study the influence factors of rubber swelling by analyzing the component distribution of the rubber-asphalt interacting area using multi-scale experiments.
    • Analyze the diffusion laws of WMA agents during the mixing process and verify the feasibly of using WMA additives to control the rubber swelling level.
