There is a heated debate concerning on whether it is necessary for a business to spend copious expenditure on advertising in order to success. Considering different aspects, I believe there is no need for investigating much money on advertising for two reasons.

To begin with, with the development of technology, nowadays, advertisement doesn’t need to cost much than in the past. To further explain, social media today provides businesses a cheaper way to advertise their products. For example, there is a platform called Tiktok, where everyone could editing their clips by their own without additional fee to the platform, comparing with cost of advertising through television in the past. In this way, business are able to upload their video easily to let almost all people who use cell phone to know its products, increasing chances to sell the products and increase the recognition of the brand. Hence, in today society, advertisement doesn’t cost the majority of the money for business to be successful.

Furthermore, those businesses that focus on innovation and property of the products are more likely to success than those who spend a lot on advertisement. Smart phones, a daily necessary today, develops dramatically, so customers prefer smart phones that have better quality and more functions. In the same way, there is trend that customer are more likely to buy products with better property, so that business who is capable to hand out better products could easily success. In contrast, even a business make the best advertisement, if their products are outdated, no one would like to buy them. Therefore, it is more important for business to put its attention on development of the products, so that business would earn more market to become succeeded.

In conclusion, in this era, if a business wants to be successful, it doesn’t need to pay lots of money in advertising. There are cheaper ways to advertise products, and advance in the products is also an essential part leading to success.
