IELTS Writing Topic: Environmental problems are too big for individual countries or individual people to address. In other words, we have reached the stage where the only way to protect the environment is at an international level. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It has to be admitted that environmental problems are becoming more and more important nowadays. There is one notion claiming that the only way. To some of these problems is united nation rather than an individual country or a person. I disagree with the notion to great extent. Here are some convincing reasons and specific examples.
On the one hand, a united strength to face with the situation that the environmental problems are becoming more intensive day by day is definitely necessary. By doing this , such as some regulations or contracts with do’s and don’ts between different countries, the whole world must be cleaner as well as the healthier than now. What’s more, some solutions cannot be carried out by one individual country because of the financial problems the geographical factors, etc .So under this kind of circumstances the solutions at an international level are effective.
However, on the other hand, even though the international level is a wonderful choice, people shouldn’t ignore the importance of individual behavior, if only international strength exists without the domestic actions, whether strict laws or the awareness from people themselves, nothing real will happen. The reason for this is every regulation or law depends on the peoples. Reaction as a result the united contract will be only a meaningfulness file without effectiveness, which is a situation we never want to see.
Overall environmental problems should be solved through the joint efforts of individual countries, people and the whole world, not just one side.
